My services are tailored to your unique needs. Though clients may present with similar health concerns and symptoms, no two protocols are the same as Ayurveda takes into account your own unique body constitution and tendencies (known in Sanskrit as prakriti) while addressing your health concerns and imbalances (or vikriti). This is what sets Ayurveda apart from other healing modalities and why it fills such a huge gap in today's conventional approach to health and healing.
During your initial consultation, a thorough health assessment will be performed in order to understand the big picture. We will talk about your present health concerns and goals, while digging deeper to see what factors may have contributed to your imbalance or dis-ease, including the role of family health history, your past medical history, your diet & lifestyle, your emotional well-being, and how you generally respond to stress.
Along with a thorough intake process, a pulse reading and a tongue diagnosis will be performed to gain a better understanding of any imbalance(s) in your physiology and digestive processes, which play a huge part in your overall health and well-being. You will also complete a questionnaire to assess your natural body constitution (prakriti).
Finally, a customized protocol will be created and tailored to specifically address your chief health concerns and alleviate any associated symptoms. Over a series of follow-up appointments, we will slowly bring your body back to a more balanced state using, first and foremost, food as medicine, as well as make adjustments to your lifestyle and use Ayurveda's prized herbs to restore balance to your mind, body, and soul. Follow-up appointments are strongly encouraged as getting the body and mind back to a more balanced state doesn't happen after just one visit; deeper healing takes time.
